Hebrews 13:5 tells us, "Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
In John's Gospel, right before His death, we hear Jesus declare: "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid." (John 14:27) He says this right after He promises the Holy Spirit to those in relationship with Him.
This supernatural peace - the peace of Jesus the Christ - we hear about a lot. We often hear about it as a panacea for managing the trouble of the day, that is, for solving problems. But in Galatians 5 (22:23), we hear about this peace as a result of the Holy Spirit's work. The Bible calls it "fruit," along with patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control."
If we were to go on in scripture, we would find out that this peace can extend to every area of our lives - including our finances: the #1 topic in all of scripture. Did you know there are over 3300 references to money and possessions in the Bible?
As we move forward in ASV, we'll discover how peace is just one of many spiritual blessings bestowed on us by God, and something that we cannot choose on our own (Romans 7:18, Ephesians 2:8-10). To have it, means we are doing life God's way, and making decisions accordingly.
We've said before that money itself isn't the issue, but the means to either abundant living or living a life void of God's Promises. That's why we endeavor to encourage and equip you to BE WISE, AND DECIDE WELL!
Please enjoy this week's episode on the practicalities of projecting your cash position into the near future, so you can properly time your expenses, and move further away from the distractions that poor cash flow can bring, and move nearer to the places that God has for you to be.
